Let Me Call You TweetHeart...& a Chance to Win Some Jewelry!
Another sneak peak for you. For Valentines I have a new TweetHeart Collection. I am just in love with this kit. I was inspired by Elizabeth Rudnick's book by the same name, Tweet Heart. The book is in the unusual but very contemporary format of emails, blogs and tweets. I haven't read it yet but it has rave reviews calling it a romantic comedy. Hope to pick it up this weekend. Anyway this got me thinking...One of the top selling Valentine's candy are Conversation Hearts. These were always a big hit with my kids when they were young. It seems that "back in the day" these little bit size candies with a message were kinda like "tweets." Short and sweet comments. Thus TweetHeart was the result. A kit with lots of conversational hearts and a darling little birdie as the focus and word art filled with twitter shorthand and "tweet" sayings! Look for the Tweet Heart Collection to be in the DDR store on Saturday!

Sneak Peak at the February Collab at DDR: It's Love!
February is right around the corner and along with that comes Valentines Day. Who won the Journey to the Soul "Keys to My Store" drawing?
On Thursday December 16, 2010 a drawing for The Keys To My Store was held at Random.org. There were 105 entries from 30 contestants. You can verify the results and that your DDR user name was included in the drawing by going to this page at random.org. You must enter your DDR user name (all lower case letters) to verify your entry.
A first place winner was drawn with 2 runners up in case for any reason the 1st place winner doesn’t respond. The winner will have until December 31st to email (colleen7699@gmail.com) me for a coupon code. The "Journey to the Soul" chat and challenge is a 3 month long event. It is based on the book and movie, EAT PRAY LOVE. This will be a self journey to find the essence of your own life. With today's busy life styles it is often hard to find time for ourselves. Time to see the beauty all around us, to enjoy the moment and take time to quiet ourselves, listen and pray, and to love without completely losing ourselves. This is what we will explore over the next 3 months. You do not have to have read the book or seen the movie to participate and it is not necessary to attend all three chats. You are welcomed for as much or as little as you can fit into your schedule.
In November we will take the journey to Bali that represents loving. It is fitting that it is last because we must have good footing in our lives, love ourselves and know who we are before we embark upon a loving relationship. Otherwise it is all too easy to become what the person we love wants, to meet their needs and forget our own and have trouble with setting limits and boundaries. This will be the basis our chat and challenge this month.
November: We will chat on November 19th at 2pm EST about our love lives or even lack of love lives. You will scrap and journal about how we maintain ourselves while taking a chance and opening ourselves up to another person. How is your love relationship working now? What works, what doesn't in your current relationship and explore how our past love relationships worked or failed. You do not need to use a photo especially if you aren't comfortable with pictures of yourself, but get creative and use photos of things you journal about. Your layout must be made with any kit from me in the DDR store, but specifically "P.S. I Love You! was created just for this. You will receive a 25% off coupon code at the chat for any kit in my store and 1 or 2 pieces of word art from my P.S. I Love You! Embellished Words Pak that pertain to this months topic. This is a "snail scrap" so you have plenty of time to think about your journaling and to create a layout. You will have til the last day of the month to post your layout. I ask that all who participate remember to come back to the gallery at the end of each move to leave some "love" for your fellow participants.
"Journey to the Soul" is an event to get you to explore your self and scap about who you are. We all scrap so many pages about the others in our lives, but what will remain to tell our story to our kids and grand kids?

Journey To The Soul Challenge
Deadline: Tuesday, November 30, 2010
1. Use any kit from my store (Colleen Lynch, Digital ARTchives).
2. Choose at least 1 paper.
3. Choose at least 3 elements.
4. Use at least 1 piece of pre-made wordart.
5. Journal about maintaining your self in loving relationships. Can be bullet style, lists or paragraph form. Does not need to be long, but must include original journaling by you.
6. You may do up to 2 pages to qualify for entries into the drawing. It can be a 2 page spread or 2 seperate pages. If it is 2 seperate pages then they both must meet the specifications above. If is is a 2 page spread you need only to meet the specifications between the 2 page spread. The 2 page spread will count as 2 entries.
7. Post your finished layouts here in this gallery and post your links here in this thread.
Drawing for Keys to my Store
All particiapants will be entered into a random drawing. For each chat you attend and every challenge you complete on time your name will be entered into the drawing. You can enter up to 2 layouts per challenge for credit. So if you participate all three months in the chat and you post 2 layouts for each challenge you can earn upto nine entries in the drawing. The more entries you have the higher your odds for winning. The lucky winner will walk away with the keys to my store. All you can download for 1 month-free!

Timeless Keepsakes is the New Mix & Match Event at DDR for November
Timeless Keepsakes is part of the November Mix & Match Event. This kit is inspired by time and memories and has an undated heritage feel to it. I was feeling generous this month so I have supplied one set of standard papers and a second set with worn edges and folds at no up charge. Having both options gives you a multitude of options for page layouts. The elements have a bit of a steam punk feel to them. You will find a pendulum wall clock, a large iron open face clock, and 2 versions of a pocket watch along with clock gears. A large selection of photo frames include an antique ornate wooden frame, a digital peeling painted frame, several gold frames, Polaroid word frames and a scalloped paper frame with a worn and bent overlay. An old door, flowers, leaves, a vine and an array of ribbons rounds out the selection of elements. The word art revolves around the theme of time and memories. The alphabet is a favorite of mine. Uppercase letters, punctuation and numbers in a darling round cream tile surrounded by a square flourish in either a gold frame or an iron frame. The coordinating lower case letters have a simple gold or iron round frame around the tiles.

Before you board the train again please take a look at my coordination kit now in my store at DDR. It has a 16-paper pack in a clean version and a bonus 16-paper pack in a muted and worn version at no up charge. The elements are to die for. Pagoda and the longevity symbol inspired the photo frames. Hanging "lanterns", hanging tasseled elements and hanging "Kanji" style English words are fabulous and glitter galore! The word art has a zen feel to it but is designed to word with everyday photos. The font has that swash look, while being a script font. The alphabet is "Chinese looking " letters on white tiles. Included are 4 different colored tasseled hangers to emulate the "Kanji" style written language. You will have so much fun with this collection!
