Journey To The Soul
The "Journey to the Soul" chat and challenge is a 3 month long event. It is based on the book and movie, EAT PRAY LOVE. This will be a self journey to find the essence of your own life. With today's busy life styles it is often hard to find time for ourselves. Time to see the beauty all around us, to enjoy the moment, to take time to quiet ourselves, listen and pray, and to love without completely losing ourselves. This is what we will explore over the next 3 months. You do not have to have read the book or seen the movie to participate and it is not necessary to attend all three chats... jump in whenever you can...all are welcomed!
Schedule of Events
In September we will take the journey to Italy which represents the eating. Remembering to eat foods you love, but not just gobble them down. To savor the aroma, the texture in your mouth, the flavor and the way it makes you feel. Really being there, not just going through the motions. Get your appetite back. Your appetite for food, yes, but also your appetite for life.
September: We will chat on September 17th at 2pm EST about getting your appetite back for life. Then you will create a layout and journaling about where you are in this journey. What you are doing well and where you need to improve. You do not need to use a photo especially if you aren't comfortable with pictures of yourself, but get creative and use photos of things you journal about. Your layout must be made with any kit from me in the DDR store, but specifically "P.S. I Love You! was created just for this. You will receive a 25% off coupon code at the chat for any kit in my store and 1 or 2 pieces of word art from my P.S. I Love You! Embellished Words Pak that pertain to this months topic. This is a "snail scrap" so you have plenty of time to think about your journaling and to create a layout. You will have til the last day of the month to post your layout. I ask that all who participate remember to come back to the gallery at the end of each month to leave some "love" for your fellow participants.
In October we will take the journey to India, which represents the praying. We will explore your spiritual life. This will not be about religion. It will be more about you and your spirituality. It won't matter what your religious beliefs are, all that believe in something larger than themselves will find this chat and challenge inspiring.
October: We will chat on October 15th at 2pm EST about your spiritual life. Then you will scrap and journal about where you are in this journey. What you do to support this vital part of yourself and what you feel you still need to work on. You do not need to use a photo especially if you aren't comfortable with pictures of yourself, but get creative and use photos of things you journal about. Your layout must be made with any kit from me in the DDR store, but specifically "P.S. I Love You! was created just for this. It is fitting that it is last because we must have good footing in our lives, love ourselves and know who we are before we embark upon a loving relationship. Otherwise it is all too easy to become what the person we love wants, to meet their needs and forget our own and have trouble with setting limits and boundaries. This will be the basis of our chat and challenge this month.
November: We will chat on November 19th at 2pm EST about our love lives or even lack of love lives. You will scrap and journal about how we maintain ourselves while taking a chance and opening ourselves up to another person. How is your love relationship working now? What works, what doesn't in your current relationship and explore how our past love relationships worked or failed. You do not need to use a photo especially if you aren't comfortable with pictures of yourself, but get creative and use photos of things you journal about. "Journey to the Soul" is an event to get you to explore your self and scrap about who you are. We all scrap so many pages about the others in our lives, but what will remain to tell
our story to our kids and grand kids?
Drawing for Keys to my Store
All participants will be entered into a random drawing. For each chat you attend and every challenge you complete on time your name will be entered into the drawing. You can enter up to 2 layouts per challenge for credit. So if you participate all three months in the chat and you post 2 layouts for each challenge you can earn up to nine entries in the drawing.
