My Niece is Now an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay!

Gosh many, many years ago when my boys were babies I was also a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. It was a wonderful experience and may be some of the best sales training I ever received. My niece Susan has just launched her own business as a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. Her website is now up and ready for visitors. Stop by and see all she has to offer.

You can check out the latest new products, see what the trends are for spring and even have a virtual makeover! Just upload a photo of yourself to get started.

Watch my blog for an upcoming freebie and a new free with purchase kit at DDR this weekend! Happy Scrapping!

Dish Up a Special Treat for Your Valentine!

As some of you already know my sister, Pat,  is a jewelry designer. Creative talent seems to run in the family, lol! This year Pat decided she wanted to sell her designs on the Internet. Since I was already doing this with my digital scrapbook kits I gave her some guidance and set up her blog and this gorgeous piece of jewelry was her way of thanking me.

Now no need to be jealous, Pat has just introduced this new design on her bog yesterday, my birthday. She's calling it the Colleen (I'm very honored Pat.) If you want to wow that special someone in your life...this little diddy will do the trick.

The shade of the pearl beads is just a bit softer than in the photo, but the luster is magnificent. In between each pearl bead is a smaller silver bead with what I might call two "end caps." I'm not a jeweler so it might have another name, lol! Anyway the magic in this bracelet begins in that space between the pearls. There are two beaded silver rings that move freely over the silver beads. The detail it adds to the bracelet is spectacular and the slight jingling sound that they create is wonderful. The clasp has a beautifully detailed heart and all the findings are very detailed. If you are a fan of Judith Ripka jewelry this piece will blend flawlessly with her pieces. I have a few pieces and I always wear them together.

If you want more information about the Colleen Bracelet or to see Pat's other handcrafted designs, visit her blog, Pat's Design Studio. With Valentine's Day just around the corner this piece of jewelry will make you look like a hero without breaking the bank.

Don't forget to scrap all those wonderful Valentine's Day memories as well as the everyday moments. Happy Scrapping!
