The August Blog Train Has Arrived!

All aboard the August Blog Train. This month we have a designer's choice theme and a common color palette as always. The theme I went with was "Summer's End." Inspired by the last days of summer; warm lazy days spent soaking up the sun rays, trying to catch a cool breeze and lingering over lemonade. Wanting it to last forever but knowing colder days are right around the corner. Your free mini kit includes 3 papers, 4 elements and 1 piece of word art. I fell in love with this color palette and theme so created a coordinating collection as well! Now you have everything you need to scrap those special moments that make up the summers we dream of!

Your download is from YouSendIt.com. It is a secure bulk file service with no ads or waiting time and of coarse no worries about viruses! The link for the blog train free mini kit will expire on August 31, 2011.

Inspiration

And don't forget about the Watercolor Memories [Rewind] Collection. The Watercolor Memories Rewind Collection was loosely inspired by the song "The Way We Were" sung by Barbara Streisand. I thought it was such a wonderful way to describe the way our mind works with our memories. In the beginning they are vivid and fresh and as time goes on they fade to a softer, water colored image of the happier times.

The Watercolor Memories Rewind Collection includes: an Element Pak, a Paper Pak, a Specialty Paper Pak, a Quick Cluster Frame Pak, a Quick Paper Stack Pak, an Embellished Words Pak, a Word Frames Pak and an Alpha Pak. As always these are available as individual packs or save 25% by purchasing the Complete Kit (includes Paper Pak and Element Pak) or save 35% by buying the Collection Pak (includes the Paper Pak, Element Pak, Embellished Words Pak and Alpha Pak).

The papers from Watercolor Memories are soft like a watercolor painting. There are some "almost-solids" and some beautiful soft prints.

Paper Pak

The word art is filled with phases about memories, remembering and living in the moment. Perfect for so many different occasions.

Embellished Words Pak

The alphabet is a super reflective metal in a coordinating gradient and finished with a thin silver frame.

New Introductory Pricing on New Releases!

With the release of the Watercolor Memories Collection I will be offering for a limited time special pricing. If you purchase within the first 5 days of release you will receive up to 45%. Quick Paks are priced at 25% off, Complete Kits at 35% off and Collection Paks an amazing 45% off! ...But remember this special introductory pricing expires on July 10th!

This is a remake of an earlier kit by the same name. Please check your stash BEFORE purchasing to be sure you want the newer version. Many of the papers are new, the best of the original kit still remain. And most of the elements are new. If you are a regular at DDR you may have received two of the papers, 2 cluster frames (very different from the cluster frame pack) that contain 2 of the flowers and 1 leaf from the element kit and 1 flower and bead string. This was packaged under the name "Legacy of Love". It has a similar color palette, so any of the parts you have to that kit might blend nicely with this collection. The alphabet, word art, cluster frames, paper stacks and word frame packs are completely new.

As always these are available as individual packs or save by purchasing the Complete Kit (includes Paper Pak and Element Pak) or the Collection Pak (includes the Paper Pak, Element Pak, Embellished Words Pak and Alpha Pak).

Want to double up on your saving? Then don't forget about the FWP (free with purchase) kit, Summer Escape! Get Watercolor Memories at amazing saving and get this wonderful kit free to boot!

Look for some inspirational layouts to follow in the next few days and next week I will be posting a tutorial on recoloring the alphabet in this collection.

Sneak Peak!

My latest kit is nearly ready for upload to my store. Just a few more previews and files to be zipped. With this release I am starting a new "Introductory Pricing" policy. For the first 5 days the collection will be specially priced, so you no longer need to wait for a sale to grab it!

Here's a sneak peak at what's coming next week!

Soft cool colors abound in this collection. With the heat advisories we are having here in Illinois, it's a welcomed sight, lol! Look for the unveiling of this collection early next week!

Meanwhile, to those of you here in the States, Happy 4th of July! Stay safe and don't forget the sunscreen! To everyone else enjoy your weekend whether you are on Holiday, or just enjoying some time off!
