Inspiration

 

As Mother's Day approaches I think fondly of my mother. She lives in Michigan so I don't get to see her often enough. She was a wonderful mother. I remember her getting down on the floor to play with me for hours. I remember her sitting at her sewing machine late at night sewing Barbie doll clothes for my sister and I for Christmas. I remember her taking my sister and I to the mall, night after night, looking for just the right blouse or skirt when we were in high school. I remember when I got my first period she bought me a beautiful "grown-up" night gown to celebrate my transition into womanhood. This is the woman who was my father's partner in every sense of the word. She was always there for him. She was and is to this day a strong and kind woman. She is a great role model, a wonderful friend...she is my mother. Love you Mom!

I hope you have many fond memories of your mother. Be sure you remember to tell her, you love her, and scrapbook all the wonderful memories, because one day you'll want to look back and share those memories with your own kids.
